415.WTF is a guide to the bars of San Francisco. The focus for now is on bars that do not require a cover charge or a reservation. Bars may be listed if they only sometimes charge a cover. There is a (slow) attempt being made to verify all of the information on this site in person. We update frequently, if you see something wrong or missing, please email us here. Some of the data for which bars have pinball machines comes from the excellent Pinball Map.

This site is lovingly hand-coded in TypeScript, React (Next.js) with Tailwind and DaisyUI on the front end, and Node with Prisma and MySQL on the back end.
No personally identifiable information is tracked. Your location is never sent to the server. We do not set cookies. We track some events using the third-party service Fathom Analytics which doesn't use cookies and complies with the GDPR, ePrivacy (including PECR), COPPA and CCPA. Fathom briefly processes your IP address. As per the CCPA, your personal information is de-identified.
